Recruit Hillary Supporters? Hell no.

There has been a flurry of stories here at Daily Kos recently reporting Bernie Sander’s campaign efforts to reach out and attract Hillary Clinton supporters. You know—supporters of the corrupt oligarch who relishes in war crimes. Clearly all people that support Hillary are also corrupt and war criminals because they support her. Her very own corrupt, war criminal brigade.

Actually, they are not Clinton’s, really. They are just (mostly) white Americans who proudly support any and all iterations of bombing “others” and making a little money from “investments” or taking a little bribe now and again. Clinton is just playing to their deeply held beliefs — aka hate and greed. She’s the most brazen of the bunch, and the current front-runner but some on the Republican side are no better.

In 1978 and 1979, lawyer and First Lady of Arkansas Hillary Rodham engaged in a series of trades of cattle futures contracts. Her initial $1,000 investment had generated nearly $100,000 when she stopped trading after ten months. In 1994, after Hillary Rodham Clinton had become First Lady of the United States, the trading became the subject of considerable controversy regarding the likelihood of such a spectacular rate of return, possible conflict of interest, and allegations of disguised bribery.

Don’t have a cow:

Some might say she was just lucky to make this 1 chance in 31 trillion return on her investment. Some would say it was not luck, she is just that smart. But not Hillary’s supporters. Nope. They know this was just a thinly veiled bribe and that is what they love about her! Greed and a lack of morals!

In a Fall 1994 paper for the Journal of Economics and Finance, economists from the University of North Florida and Auburn University investigated the odds of gaining a hundred-fold return in the cattle futures market during the period in question. Using a model that was stated to give the hypothetical investor the benefit of the doubt, they concluded that the odds of such a return happening were at best 1 in 31 trillion.

Her strongest followers are war mongers that can’t wait for her to invade more countries in illegal wars. They bathe in the glow of her open and unabashed sword rattling and xenophobia.  She validates their deeply held beliefs. Her refrain is a thinly veiled “Lets Make the Middle East Glow!” and “Lets Make the Military Industrial Complex Richer!” Because 9/11.

Why in the hell would we want to embrace the very instruments of the world’s oppression? 

Sure. Come vote for Bernie.  “They” will magically shed their snakeskin and emerge as transformed peace loving oligarchy fighters. Singing kumbaya and hugging folks. Born again.

I’m not buying it.

What should be clear is that Clinton hasn’t made them war mongers. That evil has always been there. She’s just their Pied Piper of the moment, from a long line of dog whistlers who know their favorite tunes. And they have no sense of humor.

Ready for Hillary has taken a cue from the NSA.

If Bernie is going to appeal to Hillary supporters does that mean he will start accepting millions from Wall Street like Hillary has? Will he be taking bribes thinly disguised as “speaking fees” or “investment returns?” Does it mean he will authorize committing war crimes like Hillary did in voting for the Iraq AUMF? Is he going to kill millions in illegal wars?

For the Bernie supporters who think this is a good idea — well, be prepared to lose some of the folks who’ve been supporting you.
