Hillary Clinton’s campaign released a letter this week from leaders of the Military Industrial Complex endorsing Hillary Clinton.
Signers of the letter include:
...Derek Chollet … and … Julianne Smith are now employed by the consulting firm Beacon Global Strategies, a firm we profiled last year. Beacon Global Strategies’ staff advises both Clinton and Republican candidates for president, including Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio. The firm makes money by providing advice to a clientele that is primarily military contractors. Beacon Global Strategies, however, has refused to disclose the identity of its clients. … Nicholas Burns is a senior counselor at the Cohen Group, a consulting firm founded by former Defense Secretary William Cohen. The firm “assists aerospace and defense firms on policy, business development, and transactions,” including deals in the U.S., Turkey, Israel, and the Middle East. … Jim Miller is an advisory board member to Endgame Systems, a start-up that has been called the “Blackwater of Hacking.” Miller is also on the board of BEI Precision Systems & Space, a military contractor.https://theintercept.com/2016/01/21/clinton-foreign-policy-experts/
It was not immediately clear if all of the members of the Military Industrial Complex supported this endorsement but she is wildly popular among them as the candidate most willing to come under sniper fire in service to the MIC.
"It is fair to say, that in terms of experience, Hillary Clinton was secretary of state for four years, so that gives her a lot of experience, no debate about that," Sanders said in Iowa when asked about his foreign policy credentials, according to the Washington Post. "But there is a difference between experience and judgment. The most important foreign policy vote in the modern history of this country took place in 2002."
Sanders told reporters that former Vice President Dick Cheney also had a lot of national security experience.
